The initial cost is £44.99 for one RPE and PPE asbestos testing kit or £27.99 for one Sample Only kit, with each additional sample test priced at £12.00.

once your material has been received in the laboratory it is analysed using stereo and polarised light microscopy. The material matrix is prepared and searched for any signs of fibres under a low powered stereo microscope, once suspect fibres are found they are mounted on a slide within an appropriate refractive index liquid to determine the asbestos type.
These asbestos bags are heavy duty and meet all regulations required for disposing of asbestos safely. To use you must insert asbestos into the red bag first and then double wrap in the clear bag. These will help you safely dispose of any potentially contaminated consumables.
Our instruction booklet details how to safely take a sample and send into the laboratory for analysis. Fill in the return form and post it into the laboratory with your samples.

Once your sampling kit has been delivered you will have the RPE, PPE and consumables to safely take your samples.
Also included are a full set of detailed instructions showing you how to take your sample and the sample submission form for the laboratory.
Follow the instruction booklet provided to safely take your sample using proscribed HSE methods.
Place your sample into the pre labelled sample bags provided and fill in the details on the sample submission form.
Place your samples and submission form into the pre paid envelope provided with the sampling kit.
Send your samples straight back to our laboratory.
Once the samples have been received the laboratory will use stereo and polarised light microscopy to identify any asbestos fibres that may be found within the sample.
All samples are analysed in accordance with the HSE guidance HSG 248 The Analysts Guide, UKAS accreditation and in house procedures.
Once completed your results will be emailed directly to you as a PDF document.
The certificate will show the details provided including the site address and sample description. It will also show the results of the analysis.
